Took a trip to Versailles the other day. As far as Baroque castles go, this one is by far the most grandiose and luxurious one…however, not really my thing. And don’t get me started on the hoards of tourists!
But the gardens are absolutely magnificent and worth spending the day there. You can row a boat, visit the Trianons and marvel at the splendor and vastness.
As far as fashion goes, if you are visiting in the summer do not wear a long skirt and do wear espadrilles (they are my comfy/stylish choice of the summer)!
Lately, fashion blogs have been flooded with pink suits of all shades, styles and combined with various accessories. Although the style looks daring and interesting on pretty women, what happens when a middle-aged man decides to follow the trend?
Coming out of the metro in Paris the other day, I spotted this guy. It is actually hard to tell whether he follows trends or maybe one of the girls copied his style and it stuck.
Just a few days ago I visited the famous Musee d’ Orsay in Paris which is in possession of the famous self portrait of the post-Impressionist painter Van Gogh. On our way home we have to pass by a little restaurant on the corner of the street and today I just couldn’t stop staring at this guy cuz he looked amazingly like Van Gogh. He was quite nice and even agreed to pose with his right ear covered! 😉
What I absolutely love about the apartment buildings in Paris are the long windows and narrow balconies. Although these balconies can’t be used from much-like having a cup of coffee-they are nevertheless a welcome addition to take a peak at the world down below you. This is the view from my balcony.

I moved to Paris for the next two months and I have been so overwhelmed with everything around me that I couldn’t decide what to write about. You would think that Paris would automatically be inspirational for a fashion blog, but it kind of had the opposite effect-too much of a good thing! 🙂
Well, now I’ve settled in and am really enjoying this truly magnificent city! I must say that the women here are exceptionally beautiful, classy and well-dressed- inspiration from all sides! And there is always something fun to do. If you happen to have a free sunny afternoon here is a suggestion what to do….
You should start at the omnipresent Eiffel Tower and walk down the park. Do not miss an opportunity to take a spin on the carrousel. It is so much fun! (do look outside coz you will get sick, honestly this thing is faster than you think ;))
Cross the Seine and take a walk on the other side. There are nice benches to take a rest and appreciate the scenery.
Draw on a wall…
Play a board game… (I won :))
Pose as Jefferson….
Buy a book…
Then cross Pont Neuf and marvel at the Notre Dame cathedral.
Voila, a perfect sunny afternoon!
